JAya BAchchan celebrates her 60th birthday tomorrow (April 9 2008). 60! and still beautiful… i think she’s come a long way from the young girl in Guddi. Recently I saw her in Karan Johar’s show…the way she carried herself with dignity and grace really struck me as an incredible feat, especially in this industry.

I think she’s one of the very few Indian actresses who has managed to remain controversy free. Infact she’s the only Indian actresses I really respect. I was browsing the net looking for info on her latest releases and happened to take this quiz on her. It gave me interesting insights on her rather colourful life!!

Anyway, I hope she does a lot more classy films this year… oflate, her roles have been pretty boring. I truly beleive she’s capable of carrying off a film all by herself…I wonder when Indian cinema will come of age and begin experiementing. I’d like to see someone make a kickass movie revolving around a 60 year old female character. I think it could work if the role has fire and passion. But, well, until then.. it’s the same old nach gaana and skimpy clothes..
